Class Hierarchy

• object: The most base type
  • wx._core.Object: The base class for most wx objects, although in wxPython not much functionality is needed nor exposed.
    • wx._core.EvtHandler: Proxy of C++ EvtHandler class
      • wx._core.Window: wx.Window is the base class for all windows and represents any visible object on the screen.
        • wx._windows.TopLevelWindow: Proxy of C++ TopLevelWindow class
          • wx._windows.Dialog: Proxy of C++ Dialog class
            • GenericMessageDialog.GenericMessageDialog: Main class implementation, GenericMessageDialog is a possible replacement for the standard wx.MessageDialog.
    • wx._core.Sizer: wx.Sizer is the abstract base class used for laying out subwindows in a window.
      • wx._core.BoxSizer: The basic idea behind a box sizer is that windows will most often be laid out in rather simple basic geometry, typically in a row or a column or nested hierarchies of either.
        • GenericMessageDialog.StdDialogButtonSizer: wxWidgets standard dialog button sizer.
